Mike Sixonate has no plans on stopping in 2019

With appearances at special events like the Town Of Grand Falls - Windsor's Mid Winter Bivver, Hospitality Newfoundland and Labradors annual Conference, and a trip to provide workshops in the schools along the Lower North Shore of Quebec alongside Jim Payne and Fergus O'Byrne, Mike is showing no signs of slowing down. He is slated to play 115 shows at The Captains Pub in beautiful Twillingate from May to September of 2019. This will be his third season of 100+ shows

Bio

Mike Sixonate is a passionate and driven musician from Newfoundland and Labrador. He has been a professional entertainer for several years and also spends quite a bit of time travelling and presenting his songs and stories for many types of concerts, private, and corporate events. His stage presence and comfortable banter make his act perfect for intimate settings and special events.

In 2018 Mike was Nominated for Celtic/Trad artist of the year by MusicNL. 
His debut album Rant And Rave was well received and is getting radio play on various AM/FM stations as well as on all major streaming platforms. The songs included on the album are among the many original pieces Mike performs live for his fans to enjoy. In 2017 and 2018 Mike played over 100 shows each operating season at The Captains Pub in Twillingate. That's 6 nights a week from May to September!  Mike is heading back in 2019 to play another season and is looking forward to debuting  new music for the world to enjoy. Mike is exposed to people travelling to Newfoundland constantly and has become known as an act you have to see for the true Newfoundland Experience. Not only does he offer 2 hours of songs and stories every night, but he also does Screech-ins for "Come From Aways"

In 2018 and 2019 Mike Travelled to Southern Ireland to play music throughout the country and build a tour route for future visits. His instant connection with the people have made Mike decide that the Irish market is one that he wants to be a part of and he is constantly looking for new and exciting ways to break into other countries and markets. Mike is always willing to discuss tour possibilities and opportunities as well as other ways to become involved in new projects and initiatives.

His honest lyrics, careful arrangements, genuine love of his home, passion for creating, unique guitar style, and ability to connect with his audience is why he has become a sought after artist and member of the music community.
